Remote controls
Each Flex 7 sensor is supplied with a master sensor head which contains a remote control receiver. This can be used to programme the sensor using an frc/set remote control or to receive control signals from an frc/user remote control.
The frc/user remote control allows remote switching of On / Off sensors and dimming control of regulating sensors, providing suitable ballasts are installed. Up to six lighting levels can be set, stored and recalled when required.
The frc/set remote control can be used to reprogramme the 20 minute time-out pre-set into any sensor. 2, 5, 10, 20 & 40 minute options are available or the time-out can be disabled. The choice of absence or occupancy control for the type /AT sensors is also made using this remote control. These are the only settings available for sensors fitted with fnh200 On / Off sensor heads.
Sensors fitted with fnh400 daylight sensor heads require the frc/set remote control to set the daylight level at which they will either switch On or regulate the lights to maintain.
Two other setting choices are available for dimming sensors only:
- Enable or Disable manual dimming the type /AT dimming
sensor can be programmed to only turn On or Off when the switch is used, with dimming reserved for daylight linking only.
- Enable or Disable daylight dependent switching
The sensor can either be programmed to regulate the lights to a minimum level and then switch Off if daylight increases, or to regulate to a minimum level and stay at that level. This has the advantage that both regulating and non regulating lights can be controlled by the PIR but the lights in the darker area of the room will not be turned Off as daylight increases near the windows.
