Selecting occupancy or absence control
Sometimes selecting the correct control option is obvious – there is no point in using an absence sensor in a room without natural light nor where users cross a controlled area, which could be dark, to reach a light switch. In this instance, an occupancy sensor with a retractive switch could be appropriate.
Absence sensors can be reset using the frc/set remote control to automatically turn On at first occupancy but then allow the occupant to turn the lights Off or On or, with dimmable luminaires, alter the light level using a retractive switch. These are not override switches – after time-out, they revert to occupancy control and any preset light level.
