Further Information

Occupancy sensors will turn the lights On when they detect someone and turn them Off, after an adjustable time-out period, when they no longer detect anyone. They are supplied pre-set with a 20 minute time-out.

The combined Flex 7 PIR and daylight occupancy sensors also control the lights by comparing the amount of available daylight to the required set level. They will either switch the lights Off when there is enough daylight and On when there is not or, with the dimming version, combine daylight and artificial light to achieve the required level.

These sensors do not have the option of switch override control, but a frc/user remote control is available. The sensors always return to their programmed settings after timing out. Programming is performed using a special setting remote control.

The frc/set remote control is also used for resetting the time-out period and, with daylight sensors, setting the required light level. It is also used to choose between the options of daylight linking to a minimum level or daylight linking to Off.

The dimming version of the occupancy sensor is available in 0-10V, DSI or DALI versions.

Up to five additional slave PIR heads can be plugged in to each sensor to increase the area of coverage from approximately 7.4m x 5.6m up to 250m2. This is particularly useful for occupancy detection in long corridors.
