Value absence/occupancy sensors
Where manual switch control of lighting as well as PIR control is needed,
Flex 7 Value absence/occupancy sensors are ideal. The manual switching requires a standard retractive switch which is connected to the sensor with an ELV switch-drop lead. A 10m lead is included with each kit.
They will only keep the lights On when both occupancy is detected and the wall switch is pressed. The lights are turned Off, after an adjustable time-out period, when the sensors no longer detect anyone. They are supplied pre-set with a 20 minute time-out.
However, the frc/set remote control can be used to convert these sensors to occupancy mode. This setting will turn the lights On when occupancy is first detected, but allow On / Off switch control whilst the occupancy is detected. The sensors always return to their programmed settings after timing out.
The wall switch can also be used to regulate dimmable ballasts if the dimming version is selected. The frc/set remote control is also used for resetting the time-out period and, with daylight sensors, setting the required light level. It can also be used to disable the regulating function of the wall switch, leaving it On/Off only, and to choose between the options of daylight linking to a minimum level or daylight linking to Off.
The dimming version of the absence / occupancy sensor is available in 0-10V, DSI or DALI versions.
Up to five additional slave PIR heads can be plugged in to each sensor to increase the area covered from approximately 7.4m x 5.6m to up to 250m2.
